Seminar conducted by security technicians on port facilities

Trust Facilities Services SA, in the context of the continuous training of their employees, conducted training sessions related to port facilities in September at the company’s premises. The courses on “Using Portable Fire Extinguishers” and “Warnings for the Safe Work of the Thessaloniki Port Facilities” aim to enhance the knowledge and the development of Trust Facilities Services SA’s potential for proper and safe port-related security facilities.

The lecturers of the seminar were the Trust FS’ security technician and the Thessaloniki Port’ security technician. The employees who work at the port of Thessaloniki have attender the seminar.

Staff training seminars

Trust Facilities Services SA, in the context of continuous training and retraining of its staff, held a series of training seminars in March. The seminars on “Port Authority Training Workshops with Safety Duties” aim to enrich the knowledge and build the potential of Trust Facilities Services A.E. as regards the safe and secure storage of port facilities. The executives who attended the seminars were trained as Port Facility Security Officers, in accordance with IMO Model Course 3.21.

The above training makes TRUST Facilities Services SA at all times ready to offer its high quality services to Port Facilities with the provision of Port Facilities Security Officers (VAIO), VAIO Assistants (VAIO) and VAIO Assistants (VAIO) covering full requirements.

NB: According to Law 1877 / 12.09.2008 the staff of the private security company provided at the port facility are required to hold a work permit referred to in Article 3 of Law 2518/1997 and to be trained or proven to be trained by recognized training centers for this purpose within the country or countries of the European Union, prior to undertaking the task of providing security services at the port facility, in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 18.2 of Part B of the ISPS Code.
